MEET ARTHUR

Arthur Rowe Anderson is an illustrator from Concord, New Hampshire. He attended New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) from 2015 to 2019, earning associate degrees in general studies and visual arts, and received the Senior Award of Excellence in Visual Arts for his capstone portrait work. He then transferred to the Institute of Art and Design at New England College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Illustration. While there, he applied his figure and portraiture skills to illustrate exaggerated characters for labels, posters, album covers, and children’s books. His preferred mediums include graphite, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic paint, and digital.

Arthur now works as a freelance illustrator while developing his personal projects under the brand name Homely Homies®. This brand reflects the style and ideas he’s most passionate about and resonates with audiences in a genuine way. His freelance title, artrowe illustration, stems from the nickname “artrowe” that his friends started calling him. He thought it was perfect because it sounded like a mix of his first and middle name, while his friends hadn’t even realized the connection when they coined it.

When Arthur isn’t busy working on a new piece, you can find him riding his skateboard, snowboarding, or going on adventures with his cat, Poppy.

ARTHUR’S ART

“My work is a mix of precision and exaggeration. I take what I’ve learned from figure and portraiture and push it into something more expressive. I want my illustrations to have character, movement, and a sense of storytelling that connects with people." – Arthur Anderson

BOARDS BY ARTHUR

"When I design for boards, I take the structure and movement of my illustration work and push it further—exaggerated forms, bold lines, and dynamic compositions that feel like they belong in motion. I want each piece to have personality, whether it’s a graphic that tells a story or a design that just feels good under your feet."
